Everybody Here

The music has been sweet and fine but no matter how together we seem

Tomorrow morning some of you people will be saying this was only a dream

But before I put my songs away and all of you forget about me

I want everybody here to stop what you're doing

And write down your address for me

There's something about just feeling so good that makes it very hard to believe

That a time is coming for us all when we must get up on our feet and leave

But there's one thing I want you to do and I hope that you will all agree

I want everybody here to stop what you're doing

And write down your address for me

And one of these days when I get the chance I will send a little note to you

Or give you a call if you'll put down your number

And tell you that the dream is true

And a day will dawn when the light of hope will shine for everyone to see

So I want everybody here to pick up a pencil

And write down your address for me

Now some of you people will say that I'm crazy believing that my love is a lie

But if somebody doesn't hold on to that dream

Then we might as well just give up and die

If we can't keep just one dream alive then how can we ever be free

So I want everybody here to stop what you're doing

And write down your address for me

I want everybody here to pick up a pencil

And write down your address for me

I want everybody here to stop what you're doing

And write down your address for me
